St. Vincent's strictly follows all of the directives and procedures set forth by the Archdiocese of Newark regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes the following, for anyone who wishes to attend any church services in person: 1) Wearing a mask over both nose and mouth at all times while in the church, removing it only to receive Holy Communion, and putting it on immediately after, if you have not been fully vaccinated; fully vaccinated persons do not have to wear a mask in church; 2) Receiving he Host in the hand only, not on the tongue; 3) Waving, not shaking hands, during the Sign of Peace; 3) Using hand sanitizer and paper towels that are available in each of the vestibules.
The regular schedule of Sunday Masses has been altered at least through 2021; the Mass intentions for your loved ones which were originally scheduled for the 11:00AM English Mass will be celebrated at the 12:00PM Spanish Mass; the intentions for the 12:30PM Spanish Mass will be celebrated by one of your parish priests during their private Masses. Check the weekly bulletin for any changes in this policy.
Finally, our Holy Father has set forth guidelines for any Catholic who may find themselves at the point of death, but unable to have a priest celebrate the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, with Penance and Holy Communion, so that they may know that Christ is with them in their last moments and has forgiven their sins.
Please pray daily that God save his people from this dreadful pandemic, and especially protect all those who risk their health to serve others' needs.
