3rd Sunday of Lent
"He said to the gardener, "For three years now I have come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found none." Luke 13:7
We can all be like the barren fig tree at times. Do you cling to what you have, or do you generously share with others? How will you respond when God asks you what you have done with all the gifts, He has given you? remember, not only are we called to be generous; we are called to develop and nurture our gifts; and return them with increase. We are called to be generous with all of gifts; especially the one that means the most of you.

Our Fall Home Goods Sale two weeks ago had a huge turnout! I would like to thank all the parishioners, friends of Saint Vincent's, families from the community and surrounding Hudson County for making this sale a success. Thank you to Father Alfie and his team for rolling up their sleeves on Friday and working with us, and Maria and her daughter. Also, my Gracie Gal Joan McGinn. Thank you to Maryann and Vincent Angrosina, Ralph and Kim Spiniello, Jocelyn Marte, Eileen D’Alessio, Zofia, & Rita Cortese Valentino, for their tireless volunteer efforts, Friday thru Sunday. I would be remiss, if I did not thank Rose Finnegan, for transitioning the CCD students from Robinson Hall to the Church. Greatly appreciated. Thanks to our new Custodian Teddy, for helping with the table setup, and Zophia for keeping us on our toes with her homemade baked goods, and Kim’s Brownies. Absolutely delicious! Thank you to Tom D'Alessio for working in the shadows. He always manages to make it all come together. Let’s not forget Vincent Angrosina for supervising “Layaway”, and the kickoff selling of our 50/50 raffle tickets. Most and foremost, Saint Vincent’s friend Ken Poesl. Many thanks to you all.

Stewardship Reflections 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” – Matthew 22:37 Do you put other “gods” before God? Is your love of money, power, status, comfort or some personal possession greater than your love for God? Do you recognize that everything you have and that everything you are is a gift from God? Putting God first in everything helps keep us from becoming a slave to our possessions and to our pride.

Anyone who is homebound and wishes to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and/or Anointing of the Sick, please call the rectory to schedule a convenient time. Living Stations: Come join us on Good Friday evening for an instrumental music and reenactment of the Stations of the Cross. It is unique opportunity to come together to experience this tradition. Parish Covered Dish Easter Celebration: On April 29, 2023 we will once again share in a banquet and celebrate. While the event is free and open to all, we rely on donations of food, beverages, paper products and service to have this happen. More information will follow.
